We have some exciting news! We are now retailers of “Aruba Aloe” products! What is so great about that, you ask and why are we selling these products? I am so glad you asked.
It started when I told a client I was going to Aruba for the first time. She said you have to get an Aloe Massage – it makes your skin so soft. She raved about it so much, I made it a mission to investigate – because if something is amazing for massage – I WANT TO BE ABLE TO PROVIDE IT FOR MY CLIENTS!
Well, right when I got to Aruba, I found out about an Aloe Museum/Manufacturing Plant and Store and instantly put it on my “To Do” list. This is what I learned. Cornelis Eman founded Aruba Aloe Balm N.V. in 1890 and it is one of the oldest Aloe Companies in the world and one of the first companies to formulate and manufacture aloe-based skin, hair and sun care products. They grow the aloe at their cosmetic production plant in Aruba. Aruban Aloes have been the best in the world for more than 150 years!
While in Aruba, I toured their museum and factory. It was amazing and so interesting! I now know how to get the gel out of Aloe plants, remove the leaf juices (Aloe latex – which seeps from the leaf when cut. This latex has laxative properties) and how to use them as well as got familiar with all the great benefits Aloe has to offer!
I also now purchase the leaves and remove the gel (along with the draining the laxative juices from the aloe, if it hasn’t already been done). Then, I use the aloe gel for a moisturizer for my skin, hair and I drink it – it is amazing for you – it is considered a potent superfood – that’s right – a SUPERFOOD! I freeze it and put it in my tea and smoothies. I urge you to research all the benefits it has to offer! (Please don’t ingest this without doing proper research and talking with your doctor).
Their No. 1 Product is the Alhydran Care Gel. It is a concentrated medical gel-cream for the treatment and hydration of vulnerable skin immediately after wound closure. Suitable for the after care of burns, Helps prevent scar formation and reduces itching. It is simply amazing! Check out their website to see all the 5 Star reviews for this product and many more! Have you ever wondered what they really mean by aromatherapy? What does it mean when it says, “aromatherapy massage”?
Aromatherapy is defined as the art and science of using essential oils for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Essential Oil is defined as natual, chemically complex, liquid extracts that come from aromatic plants with specialized structures. It is very important to know where you are getting your essential oils from. Synthetics oils are human-made chemicals produced in a lab to mimic the aroma of plants but do not have the same therapeuatic effect and should be used with caution and in my opinion should not be used at all.
At KK’s Massage, we can incorporate essential oils (a/k/a aromatherapy) into any massage. We have selected five specific essential oil singles and blends that we thought would be the most beneficial for our clients. However, if you have any specific need, please feel free to discuss them with me and I will be more than happy to work with you to get the essential oil that may be a better choice for you.
Below are the essential oils that you can choose to have used during your massage:
This blend combines powerful analgesic oils designed to mitigate pain and discomfort. Natural therapeutic solution to the challenges of muscle discomfort. Eases achy joints and sore muscles. Its effects are deep, cool and penetrating with lasting therapeutic results. Contains: Wintergreen (Gaultheria Procumbens), Peppermint (Mentha Piperita), Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Globulus), Camphor (Cinnamomum Camphora)
This blend is sure to create a happy and warm ambiance. Antidepressant. Very bright and cheerful blend. Contains: Pink Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) Lemon (Citrus Limonum) Cassia (Cinnamomum Cassia) Ginger (Zingiber Officinalis) Peppermint (Mentha Piperita)
Bulgarian Lavender Essential Oil is grown in the famous Kazanlak Valley of Roses, which is known to produce the finest essential oils in the world. Bulgarian Lavender contains high amounts of Linalyl and Linalool, components that give the oil it’s soothing and relaxing properties for the mind, body and spirit.
The oils in this synergy are believed to be useful in reducing stress and its side effects. A wonderful synergy to help promote relaxation. Not only will it help you to ‘settle’ yourself inside, it also has oils to help you feel more at ease and give you a sense of wellbeing. This Blend is excellent for centering and composure. Contains: Blended with pure Frankincense (Boswellia Serrata), Ho Wood (Cinnamomum camphora), Ravensara (Agathophyllum aromatica), Lemon (Citrus limonum), Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora), Yarrow Blue (Achillea millefolium)
Stress Relief blend is an excellent blend to uplift and relax individuals who are in need of stress relief. Contains: Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia), Patchouli (Pogostemon Cablin), Sweet Orange (Citrus Sinesis), Ylang Ylang (Cananga Odorata), Pink Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi), Gurjum (Dipterocarpus Turbinatum)
Just let your therapist know which essential oil you would like to use throughout your massage and your massage therapist will diffuse the oil in the air, apply it to their hands and hold over your nose and will have you take some deep breaths and then apply it to certain areas of your body/ The exception is Deep Muscle. Deep Muscle is to be applied to the muscles to help with joint and muscle pain and is used more in a deep tissue massage as opposed to the others that would complement a more relaxing type of massage.
Essential oils can be used to assist with healing of so many different conditions. I personally have used Tea Tree oil for skin tags – which has worked fantastically. Headache Relief has helped with my headaches and Sleep Tight has helped me sleep more soundly to just name a few I have recently used. If you are looking for a more holistic approach, contact me and let’s see what oils would be right for you.
KK’s Massage is having a 50% SAVINGS on all massage add-ons for the month of September – so why not try out some essential oils for yourself!
